Typically two interview rounds

One recent hire says the interview process at Mattel included "two interviews -- campus and Superday." Another source says, "Normally, there are two rounds of interviews before you are offered the position. Luckily, I only had to go through one round, but that round took several hours. I was interviewed by about five people." The insider adds, "Most of the questions were what you would expect from a standard interview. A lot of the questions got into more specifics on how I would handle a situation where I was talking to people I would normally interact with."

If you're ready to make a full-time commitment to the company, just create a profile on the careers section of the Mattel web site (www.mattel.com/careers). Mattel offers full medical, dental, life and accident insurance to its employees, as well as a retirement plan that provides 100 percent vesting after three years of employment. The company also has an employee stock purchase plan and adoption assistance. Nice extras include a fitness center and, last but not least, discount merchandise and toy-testing privileges for young family members of employees. Mattel offers 12-week summer internships for undergraduates (through the INROADS organization, at www.inroads.org) and first-year MBA students.
